When exhibiting this work, I install images of various sizes next to each other to force the viewer to be active, to physically change their position. I weave a line of text –excerpts from my writing about interactions with the children—around the images, visually combining our relationships and my images. Thus I seek to connect the subject and viewer and to limit traditional dynamics of observer and observed.
